Description

Corbett Cottage is a deceptively spacious Grade II listed period cottage situated in the heart of the picturesque and world-famous village of Castle Combe. The cottage boasts a beautifully presented interior whilst externally has the great benefit of a good-sized west-facing garden, private parking and a garage. Dating back to the 16th Century, the cottage has a wealth of original character with a magnificent fireplace, exposed beams, mullion windows, and many other period features.

The accommodation is extensive reaching to around 1,700 sq.ft. opening through a studded plank door to an entrance hall with flagstone flooring. There are three reception rooms on the ground floor. The sitting room of which features an impressive stone moulded cambered- arched fireplace. The large kitchen has a high vaulted ceiling and an extensive range of custom built units. Upstairs, there are two large double bedrooms and family bathroom which is fitted with a roll-top bath and separate shower. Downstairs there is a further shower room as well.

The cottage has the rare advantage of private parking located at the foot of the garden and accessed through The Manor House grounds. The westerly garden is larger than average and has been wonderfully landscaped into a secluded seating terrace from the main accommodation with a meandering path bound by vibrant beds leading to a larger walled garden area of box hedging. There is a garage located opposite the cottage within the Old Stables Courtyard.
