A spacious family home set on a very good plot on this popular road, which is conveniently located for local schools and is within easy walking distance of Alresford town centre. Several similar houses nearby have recently been extended, and we believe there to be an opportunity to do the same thing here, subject to planning permission being granted. The house is approached from the driveway, with a path leading to a useful enclosed porch. The front door of the house opens to the entrance hall, where stairs lead up to the first floor. There is a cupboard under the stairs. A door opens to the spacious sitting room, which has an open fire in a wooden surround, a large window to the front, and double doors, which open through to the dining room and fitted kitchen. The kitchen /dining room is a sizeable open-plan room, with a range of fitted kitchen storage units with worksurfaces above. A side door leads to outside as do a pair of French doors from the dining area. Upstairs, there is a linen cupboard on the landing and a window to the side. The main bedroom has a built-in wardrobe and a large window facing the front. The second bedroom also has a built-in wardrobe and has a window overlooking the garden. The third bedroom is located at the front of the property. Off the landing is the bathroom, which has a white suite with a shower over the bath. Outside, the lawned front garden adjoins the driveway. Wrought iron gates open to allow further driveway parking and access to the garage, which has an up-and-over door. A gate opens to the pretty rear garden, which is mainly laid to lawn, with a garden shed and paved seating area. Alresford is a beautiful Georgian town known for its variety of independent shops, restaurants and inns located in stunning surroundings on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Attractions include the Watercress steam railway, schools for infant, junior and secondary education, several churches and an active and inclusive community. The cathedral city of Winchester is about 7 miles away and there is easy access to the south coast, the midlands and London via the road network. There is also mainline rail access to London from both Winchester and Alton. Southampton airport is only about half an hour away by car.
SERVICES We understand that mains water, drainage, gas and electricity are connected.
