noir by david cliff - RICH IN CHARACTER WITH MODERN TWISTS
Traditionally when writing descriptions about the wonderful homes we have the pleasure of marketing we try to make sense of how it would feel to live there, to describe how you would use the space and to explain how we believe the features enhance the home. On this occasion we've asked the sellers for their own interpretations and to recall their very own special memories whilst living here, so, in the sellers own words please see the below.
Harp Farm has been our much-loved family home for over 24 years, filled with laughter, gatherings, and wonderful memories. Originally built in the Victorian era as two farm workers cottages, it was later combined into one and thoughtfully extended in the 1990s using reclaimed bricks from the historic Huntley & Palmer biscuit factory. Brimming with character, the house blends period charm with modern space, making it perfect for a growing family, entertaining, and hosting special occasions. Nestled in a peaceful, private setting, yet just minutes from local amenities and fast London rail links, it offers the best of both worlds. The spacious garden, bathed in sunshine throughout the day, has been ideal for everything from childrens adventures to al fresco dining and evening sunsets. Weve enjoyed breathtaking starry skies, hot air balloons drifting past, and even occasional acrobatic air displays from nearby White Waltham. With charming local spots like The Warren pub and Ashridge Garden Centre within walking distance, and a welcoming, homely atmosphere, Harp Farm has been a true oasis for our familynow ready to welcome its next chapter.
I think you'll agree from the above, that this home has certainly enjoyed lots of special moments and we're now searching for the propertys next owners to follow on from this and to create more memories.
My own impression is that the home is rich in character, with modern twists. It has an enormous amount of internal living space and has been lovingly cared for throughout. The property is located in an enviable location with local amenities all within easy reach and would be suitable to many buyers currently searching for their dream home.
On arrival you'll be greeted to the front gate which allows access to the pathway leading to the front door. Upon entry you're in the extremely open and very welcoming entrance hall. From here, on the left is a study making for excellent convenience should you work from home and on the opposite side is a really cosy family snug. This links straight through into a separate dining room which would make for the perfect dinner setting with dual aspect windows and views out onto the wrap around garden. Next you're in the central hub of the home. A recently renovated and large open plan kitchen / dining / family room which will definitely be where you spend the majority of your time! There's also a separate utility room which can easily be closed off and a ground floor w/c.
To the first floor you'll be excited to find four double bedrooms with the master boasting a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 all benefit from built in wardrobes and are served by the family bathroom.
Externally the grounds wrap a full 360 degrees round the property, allowing you to follow the sun throughout the day while enjoying complete privacy. There is a great sized double detached garage and a spacious workshop which can be adapted to suit your needs! Additionally, secure parking for multiple cars is available at the rear of the property, behind an automated gate.
Harp Farm is a wonderful example of a character home that's been cared for and we invite you to come and see for yourselves.
