From Exeter take the A377 to Cowley Bridge, then join the A396 towards Tiverton. Continue along this road through the villages of Stoke Canon and Rewe for nearly ten miles until reaching Bickleigh. The village has a church, a friendly riverside pub and two visitor attractions, Bickleigh Mill, restaurant and craft centre. Bickleigh Castle is also nearby. The Cathedral city of Exeter is approximately eleven miles to the south and offers excellent shopping, cultural and leisure facilities. Close by you also have the University of Exeter along with private and state schools. The market town of Tiverton, some 3.5 miles to the north, has good shopping facilities, Petroc College (Mid-Devon campus) and Blundells School.
