Landscore is an area of Crediton at the western end of town, ideally situated for primary and secondary schools, plus the busy High Street is just a short walk away. There’s the bus stop nearby too for regular services to Exeter, making it an ideal base in the town. The cottage itself offers further potential with a semi-converted loft (with velux) and a garden room which offers plenty of flexible space.
Internally, there’s a living room at the front with a feature fireplace and wood-burning stove and this opens through to the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is fitted with a range of modern units with room for a washing machine and dishwasher too – rare to have both in a 2 bedroom cottage. There’s also room for a table and chairs plus a useful understairs storage area. From the kitchen door there’s a useful rear porch and this in turn opens onto the level rear garden. On the first floor are two bedrooms and the family bathroom (with shower over the bath). Worth a mention is the partially converted loft space. Works have been started with the installation of a velux window and (subject to the necessary permissions) could be utilised as further living space if a new owner was so inclined. There’s a substantial pull down wooden staircase and it’s ideal for hobby/storage. There’s some modern (2020) electric digital storage heaters plus the wood burner.
Outside, to the rear is a level and enclosed courtyard (6.6m x 4.5m) which is largely paved with some planted beds and borders, plus a storage shed. To the rear of the courtyard is a handy garden office/studio/workshop, with light and power points, plus uPVC windows and door. This is a great space with huge potential for those looking to work from home or hobby space.

CREDITON : An ancient market town, with a contemporary feel – only a short, 20-minute drive NW from the city of Exeter. Set in the Vale of the River Creedy, amongst gentle, rolling hills and verdant pastures. Sincerely picture postcard. Once the capital of Devon, Crediton is famed for its inspiring sandstone church and for being the birthplace of Saint Boniface in 680 AD. Its high street is a vibrant place, abuzz with trade –artisan coffee shops, roaring pubs, a farmers’ market and bakeries, jam-packed with mouthwatering delights. For those commuting it has hassle free transport links into Exeter and for schooling a prestigious secondary school with sixth form (Queen Elizabeth’s). In addition, it boasts a brilliant gym and leisure centre for New Year’s resolutions, three supermarkets for the weekly shop and a trading estate for any practical needs. All neatly held in a single valley.
