Location
Dingestow is a small Welsh village which has a few local amenities, including The Parson's Ridge Farm Shop and a village hall which houses a Post Office. On the fringes of Dingestow, there is The Somerset Arms - a family-run pub and restaurant which also has a large outdoor children's play area. A short distance away, the neighbouring village of Mitchel Troy offers The Square Farm Shop, the church of St Michael and All Angels, and a play park which opened in 2020 following a venture by a community-spirited group of residents who secured funding from the National Lottery.
The village of Raglan, three miles away, offers even more amenities including a GP surgery, a primary school, a convenience store, a butcher's, a hairdresser and a couple of pubs.
Monmouth, the beautiful and historic Welsh county town, is four miles away. Because of its location within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Monmouth has become a thriving tourism hub and its high street offers an assortment of independently-owned boutiques, renowned retailers, a variety of restaurants, welcoming pubs, bustling bars, leisure facilities, private and public schools, and various supermarkets - including Waitrose and a Marks & Spencer Foodhall.

The home at a glance
Heartsease Cottage is tucked away from a country lane behind a sapphire blue picket fence. The main entrance leads straight into a handsome sitting room, where there is an exposed brick fireplace, which houses a woodburning stove - a staple of country life - as well as a timbered ceiling, and two sash windows, the largest of which has had its thick stone wall adopted into a window seat.
A grey farmhouse-style door leads into the kitchen, which overlooks the peaceful rear garden. There is a Lamona fan oven and hob, space for an under-counter fridge and various floor and eye-level units. Beyond here, there is a utility area which accommodates the boiler.
The family bathroom is also found on this level of the property and this has a wholly private outlook over the surrounding countryside. It features a bath with a shower overhead, a heated towel rail and a two-piece white suite.
The store room includes the back door and this area gives plenty of space to take off muddy boots and coats after time spent enjoying the great outdoors.
The first floor of the property contains two double bedrooms, one of which boasts a cast iron feature fireplace and a sash window framing an elevated view of the picturesque landscape - exhibiting the Welsh black mountains in the distance. The second bedroom is a wonderfully quirky shape, owing to the chimney breast that runs through the room, so it captures the warmth from the woodburning stove in the sitting room below.
The garden features a level lawn, mature trees, and an expansive summerhouse. In terms of parking, there is a gravel, gated driveway as well as a detached single garage.
